As the founder of RC Dermatology and Iowa Dermatology Clinic, Dr. Love has been providing the highest quality dermatology care for over 25 years.   Faraaz Zafar, MD, FAAD

  Dr. Faraaz Zafar is a dedicated and highly trained dermatologist with a passion for providing comprehensive skin care. Dr. Zafar earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and pursued his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his Transitional Year Internship at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin, followed by a dermatology residency at Marshfield Clinic Health System in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Dr. Zafar chose dermatology because he is fascinated by the variety and complexity of skin conditions and enjoys the mix of medical, surgical, cosmetic, oncologic, and preventative care. His special interests lie in complex medical dermatology and dermatologic surgery, with a focus on helping patients achieve clear skin and the best cosmetic outcomes. Outside of RC Dermatology, Dr. Zafar enjoys sports, weightlifting, reading, exploring new cuisines, and playing the guitar. At 6'9", he quite literally brings a unique perspective to the practice. He looks forward to serving the dermatological needs of his diverse patient population and making a positive impact in their lives.

  Christina Warren, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C

  Christina is a certified family nurse practitioner and dermatology-trained nurse practitioner providing of conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails for the entire family. After earning her bachelor’s degree from Graceland University in Lamoni, she went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Clarkson College in Omaha, NE. She has more than 20 years of experience in dermatology under the guidance of board-certified dermatologist Charles Love, M.D. at Iowa Dermatology Clinic. She is committed to providing effective dermatology treatments including medical, anti-aging and cosmetic procedures to help patients look and feel their best.

  Lauren Crawford, PA-C

  Lauren is a certified physician assistant with specialized training in dermatology. She earned her undergraduate degree from Quincy University and her master’s degree from Stephens College. During PA school, Lauren completed a six-week rotation and a three-month fellowship with Iowa Dermatology Clinic and RC Dermatology and is currently enrolled in the SDPA Fellowship Program. Lauren’s background includes work as a CNA in assisted living and pediatric care, as well as experience as a dermatology medical assistant. She is passionate about helping patients achieve healthier skin through medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with a special interest in treating psoriasis and creating effective, personalized treatment plans. When she isn’t at RC Dermatology, Lauren enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, and spending time with her husband and their two goldendoodles.
